　　Example:

　　Wrong：一个本子才三十五分。

　　Right：一个本子才三毛五（分钱）

　　“三十五分“ is the English, way to count money.In counting thr Chinese currency Renminbi,the decimal system is adopted,i.e.ten cents（分）makes one mao （“毛”）,and ten mao makes one yuan. The proper way to express“三十五分”is“三毛五（分钱）”or“三角五分钱”.

　　Wrong：这些邮票一共五块零毛六分（钱）。

　　Right：这些邮票一共五块零六分（钱）。

　　In “五块零毛六分（钱）” which involves all the three units of Renminbi,the figure preceding“毛”is“0”.In this case, the word“零”must be present “毛”must not.

　　Example:

　　Wrong：这件大衣二百八十块零八。

　　Right：这件大衣二百八十块零八毛。（或二百八十块零八分）

　　The meaning of “二百八十块零八”is obscure in that it may be understood as “二百八十块零八毛”or“二百八十块零八分”.However,it will become clear,if one states the phrase in full with out dropping the last counting unit.One should say either“二百八十块零八毛”or“二百八十块零八分”.

　　Example:

　　Wrong：这是三百十五块钱。

　　Right：这是三百一十五块钱。

　　三百十五块钱is a three-figure number.In a big number with three or more than three digits,“一”

　　which occupies the ten's place is habitually read as “一十”instead of“十”.
